For any business, Sales tax registration is the primary step in doing business, as the federal revenue board observes each transaction keenly. If you are a sales tax registered person, you can run your business with reputed companies or government departments of Pakistan.
You must participate in tenders with the sales tax registration. This is mandatory to register yourself with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) before filing a sales tax return. After registration with FBR, you will get Sales Tax Registration Number (STRN), User ID, and Password. The Taxpayer has Access to the e-file portal for submission of the Sales. You get a User ID and password when you register with FBR. This is called a Sales Tax Registration Number (STRN).
Access to the online portal for submitting Sales Tax Returns, the e-file portal, is made possible by these credentials. Logging into the e-file portal is the only way to submit an online sales tax return. By law, each registered person is required to submit a return detailing the sales made in the previous month by the 15th of each month. All registered individuals are required to file returns electronically, with payment due by the 15th and returns due by the 18th on the FBR’s e-portal.
