Privacy Policy — CorpTax App

This Privacy Policy explains how CorpTax Solutions (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the CorpTax mobile application (the “App”). The App is the client portal for CorpTax Solutions, operated from Pakistan, and lets our clients manage their tax and compliance work with us.

By creating an account and using the App, you agree to this Policy.

Information we collect

We only collect information needed to provide our services to you.

1. Information you provide

  • Account details: your name, email address, phone number, and a password (which we store only in encrypted/hashed form — we never store your password in plain text).
  • Profile and tax information: details you add to your profile, which may include your address, city, province, country, CNIC, NTN, STRN, incorporation/SECP registration numbers, WhatsApp number, and business details.
  • Documents you upload: files you attach to your service requests and tasks (for example images, PDF, Word, or Excel files). These may contain personal or financial information that you choose to share with us to complete your work.
  • Support messages: the content of any support tickets or messages you send to your account manager through the App.
  • Service requests: the services you request, contact persons you add to a request, and information you enter in request forms.

2. Information collected automatically

  • Authentication data: secure login tokens that keep you signed in. These are stored securely on your device (Android Keystore / iOS Keychain).
  • Basic technical/security data: your IP address and device/browser information are processed when you sign in or register, to protect your account against abuse and to enforce rate limits.

3. Information we do not collect

  • We do not use third-party advertising or tracking.
  • The in-app Tax Calculator runs entirely on your device — the figures you enter there are not transmitted to us or stored.

Device permissions

  • Camera — used only if you choose to take a photo of a document to attach to a request.
  • Photos / storage — used only if you choose to select an existing file to attach.

These permissions are used only when you actively attach a document. We do not access your camera or photo library in the background.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • create and manage your account, and verify your identity when you sign in;
  • review and approve new account registrations before access is granted;
  • provide the services you request and manage your tasks, documents, invoices, and payments;
  • communicate with you, including through in-app support tickets;
  • keep the App secure and prevent fraud or abuse;
  • meet our legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

How your information is stored and shared

Your data is stored on secure servers and processed by the following service providers acting on our behalf:

  • Database & backend hosting — used to store your account, profile, and task data.
  • Cloudinary — used to store the documents you upload. Uploaded files are stored securely and referenced by a private link.

These providers process data only to provide services to us and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes. We may also disclose information where required by law or by a competent regulatory authority.

Your data may be stored or processed on servers located outside your country. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information remains protected.

Data security

We protect your data using industry-standard measures, including encrypted passwords, encrypted login tokens stored securely on your device, encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls that limit your data to your own account, and rate limiting to prevent unauthorized access. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information at all times.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as long as needed to provide our services and meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

Your rights and choices

  • Access & correction: you can view and update your profile information at any time from within the App.
  • Account deletion: you can delete your account directly in the App from Profile > Edit profile > Delete my account. Deleting your account immediately removes your access. We may retain certain records where required by law (for example, tax and financial records).
  • Further requests: to request a copy of your data or erasure of records not covered above, contact us at [email protected].

Children’s privacy

The App is intended for our business clients and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the App.
